Things
to consider when buying a home. |
- Determine how
much you can spend on a home.
- Determine with a
reputable lender the loan amount you qualify for.
- Determine a
neighborhood or area where you would like to live. Do this
by driving through difference neighborhoods, talking with
friends or relatives, talking with your realtor about taxes,
various school districts and neighborhood zoning.
- Determine what
services are important to you --Do you want to be close to
highway access, shopping, schools, etc.
- When looking at
homes, consider the basics:

- Do trees/shrubs
look healthy & well maintained?
- Is outside
lighting adequate?
- Are sidewalks
& driveways in good condition-will water drain well?
- Is the home in
good over all condition visually-look at roof, walls, windows,
siding, gutters, shutters, etc.
- As your real
estate agent for his/her input.
|
Interior

Is the house set
up in a comfortable floor plan?
-
Do doors and
windows work easily?
-
Visually, is the
home in good condition-look for cracks, holes, and signs of
